Why No Bad Frames?

It begins with the age old question, "what do you want to do in life?". We've all heard this before as we were growing up and for the longest time I never had an answer. It wasn't until I got into skateboarding and skiing when things started to change. Skateboarding pushed me to pick up my first camera and every year in the Midwest when the summers would end and the leaves started changing colors, it meant one thing for me - winter was around the corner, and ski film premieres were coming to town. From Warren Miller, to Teton Gravity, or Red Bull Media House, I remember always leaving those film premiers thinking "Fuck, that’s what I want to be doing with my life".

I've spent well over a decade gaining as much experience and knowledge in the mountains and in the advertising industry as possible. It's a journey that has taken me and my camera around the world from project-to-project and trip-to-trip, there was one shoot in particular where I found myself standing in the middle of the Baja desert when I realized this is what I wanted to be doing forever. The name "No Bad Frames" popped into my head and I had barely enough cell service to purchase the domain and make an instagram account. I got home from that trip and it was back to my usual routine. Five years later and on the verge of burnout I reevaluated my priorities and made No Bad Frames official. In the year that we've been in business I found myself back in that same Baja desert, full circle. My mission is to tell stories that people will actually care about while executing the production with military precision and delivering high end stills and films so that there's No Bad Frames.
